Medical Chapter
Volunteers help facilitate a mobile medical clinic within rural communities that is led by in-country medical professionals. Patients receive free health care and hygiene amenities. We have sent a medical brigade to partnering countries every year since 2008. In 2021, due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we participated in a medical telebrigade.
Business Chapter
Volunteers consult rural entrepreneurs to help expand their businesses through growth, marketing and finances. Financial literacy education workshops are taught within each community.
Engineering Chapter
Our Engineering Chapter is our newest endeavour. Volunteers partner with community leaders and local technicians to assess, map, survey and design clean water systems custom-designed for rural communities. UVic’s first ever Engineering Brigade ran in 2020, along with a telebrigade in 2021.
